Fifth year
The final year in order to become an engineer, and it has specific telecom subjects, no more physics or math, it is only dedicated materials. Telecommunication engineering has improved a lot and this year will put you in the beginning of that development.
Telephone exchange system
Wire telecom usually ended and started from specific point that helps to pass many calls, Exchanging system receives and sends calls between customers and other exchanging systems; moreover, that system is responsible to do bills for customers and provide the internet service.
Space telecommunications
Satellites and their orbits are the main focus of this subject, beside some a short idea about different atmospheric layers.

Micro systems
We had studied micro waves in the fourth year, Here we are going to shift our focus to different systems those are dealing with micro waves; furthermore, how to use those systems in mobile telecom and invest them to cover large areas to help people as much as we can.
Computer networks and data transfer
Building a computer network and special devices to manage signals between those computer in the network, Hub, Switch, Router. Then move on to study each device individually to get deep understanding about networks.
Digital processing of the sound and image
Image and sound are representing the main part of media, in this subject we are going to analyse images into different kind of matrices to make it easy for software. Images are combined with different pixels those stand together to give the whole view of data.
For sound with the same logic we will understand various formats of sound , mp3, wma, wav and so on.
Optical telecommunication systems
We start with the structure of fiber optic, then move on the properties of light signals that should carry information and pass through fiber optic media, the last thing is the security of optical system and how to make is safe and secure.
Mobile telecommunication
This is the first thing could trigger a friend's mind if we told him about our studies, so we can see how it took it time to reach this subject just to have a small idea about cells of mobile network in order to cover an area, the reliable shape of that cells and why?
How many towers does a cell need to give a good service for clients.
Radar engineering
It started with military use, then it took its place in random civil field Airports, Weather observation, Geological studies and so on.
A big moved antenna that keeps moving and sends and receive many signals to achieve the goal behind install it in a specific position.
Information security
Coding and decoding messages between transmitter and receiver is the main focus of this subject. Inserting a special key that is know between both sides of system, it can give a tiny idea how could coding get done, it is exactly like water mark in word documents to keep reserved and secured.
Neural networks in telecommunication systems
The relationship between networks it looks like neural system in our brains, many nodes and lots of links to hold messages from layer to another one, in orders to achieve a specific mission.
From the figure, we can see input layer and output layer but in the middle there are many layers, in our example we have two layers.
Bachelor's project
The last thing you could do in this five-years engineering, this final project represents the total understanding the was built in engineer's brain during those years. It has optional subject from those were taught before, it could be in Mobile, Networking, Security, Programming , Radar and so on.
