Network cable tester
It is a special tool usually used after installing a new RJ11, or RJ45 terminal just to make sure this job has been done perfectly.
Moreover; this tool also helps with troubleshooting for existing cables.

Installing terminals
Network cable has 8 thin wires and it is common calling them by pairs, each two thin wires make a single pair and they are twisted together to reduce any probability of interference. So this cable has four pairs with different colors to distinguish between them easily.
RJ45 has 8 dedicated slots for those 8-thin wires and there are tiny plastic barriers between slots to guarantee that there is no bad connection in the socket. The picture shows the right order for straight cable. The last step after inserting the network cable is making some pressure with a special tool to connect wires with copper small pieces in the RJ45 terminal.
How to test final product?
The final product now is ready for use, but to make sure 100% we have a correct internal connection inside the socket, the tester gets read to receive the cable.

With those separated pieces we can simply insert our cable and notice the LED's order, it should be similar on both sides whether those LEDs go up or down. In this case, we conclude that total installation has been done, else we still have a problem and we should repeat the whole process.
The tester is easy to use, it has only one or two switches, it depends on the brand we use. The main switch is an on-off switch whereas the second one is for the increase or decreasing LED's flashing speed.
